The Credit Note page in Wisenet allows you to search, view and manage all credit notes created in Wisenet directly from an issued invoice or the Credit Notes page as a standalone document.
The contents below outline how to search and view credit notes, the Manage Credit Note section below shows how the Credit Note list can be used for reporting and reconciliation.
PLEASE NOTE! The steps and instructions in this article are written to show a list of all credit notes issued. Clicking on the Learner name from the credit notes page to navigate to the individual Learner > Finance page.
A Debtor is either a Learner or a Workplace under the Credit Notes table.

Search for a credit note
- Navigate to LRM > Finance
- On the Left Navigation Bar, click on Credit Notes
A list of the issued credit notes appears on the credit notes page. By default, only the first 20 credit notes will show up on the page. It may be quicker to scroll through the list on the page to find the relevant credit note if the total value is less than 20.
Otherwise, follow the guidelines below on how to search for a credit note.
The Search Bar
Use the Search Bar to search by:
- Debtor
- Credit Note Number
- Reference
The Sort By function
Use the Sorting arrows next to a column header to sort by that column.
Filters
Add one or more Filters to filter the list of Credit Notes:
- Click + Add Filter
- From the list provided, select as many fields you want to filter by
- Click Done when ready
- Optional: Click on the filter icon to save a filtered view.

View Credit Notes
View more details from your search results:
- Click on the Debtor to open the Learner or Workplace profile page
- Click on the Credit Note Number to open the Credit Note Details page
- Additional quick details that are also visible on the Credit Note table, on the Credit Note Details page you will see:
- A Credit Note Summary section showing the credit items
- A Logbooks section showing all logbook activities linked to the relevant credit note, i.e. Email sent, etc.
- Clicking on a logbook item will open a drawer with additional information about the logbook entry.
- A Timeline section showing the date and time logged for when the credit note was:
- Issued
- Applied
- Logbooks
- Fully Applied
- Additional quick details that are also visible on the Credit Note table, on the Credit Note Details page you will see:

Manage Credit Notes
In addition to viewing credit notes, you can also manage them directly from the Credit Notes page using the Resend Credit Note feature.
Resend Credit Note
Once you have searched and found the credit note you want to resend from the Credit Notes Table, click the Resend icon in the Action column.
An email will be sent with the Credit Note link for the recipient to view on the Invoice App.
Export Credit Note data
Export selected credit note records using the Data Export feature.
