How to Link Elearning Courses to Wisenet Offers

Required Elearning Access: Admin | Required Wisenet Access: Portal Admin and LRM Owner

Pre-Steps

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  1. Elearning integration installed.
  2. Course Offers or Unit Offers created.
  3. Elearning Courses synced.

Decide if you want to use Automatic Linking

Automatic Linking means that as soon as an Elearning course is created, it is linked to the matching Course Offer/Unit Offer in Wisenet.

Link Elearning Courses to Wisenet Offers using Auto Linking

If you don’t want to use Automatic Linking, continue to Step 2.

Add Elearning Course

  1. Navigate to Selected Course Offer > Elearning.
    1. Learn more: How to search for a Course Offer
    2. NOTE: Even if you are connecting the Elearning Course to a Unit Offer, you must do this from the relevant Course Offer page.
  2. Click Add Elearning Course
    1. The Add Elearning Course drawer appears.

Select Elearning Course and Type

  1. Select the Elearning Course from the Dropdown
  2. Select Type
    1. Course Offer: when the Elearning Enrolment will be based on the Course Enrolment in to the Course Offer only
    2. Unit Offer: when the Elearning Enrolment is based on a Unit Enrolment into a specific Unit Offer

Select a default Elearning Enrolment Option

Choose your preferred Enrolment Method:

  • Manual: Manually enrol and unenrol Learners in the Elearning platform.
  • Automation: Use rules to specify when a Learner’s enrolment is created and disestablished in the Elearning platform.

(Optional) Add Group

Janison does not support grouping.

Save Options

  • Click Save if you do not wish to add Enrolments at this stage.
  • Click Save and Add Enrolments if you already have Course/Unit Enrolments set up
    • This will show a list of Learners who are enrolled in the Course Offer/Unit Offer but not enrolled in the linked Elearning Course. To manually add Elearning Enrolments:
      1. Tick one or more Learners
      2. Click Add Elearning Enrolments
      3. The Learners’ status will be Disabled. Edit the Enrolment to change the status.
Edit Options

You can always add more Enrolments and/or edit the Elearning Courses at a later stage. However, please note:

  • Elearning Type cannot be edited if there are linked Elearning Enrolments
  • Editing Defaults will not auto update linked Elearning Enrolments
Delete Option

You can delete a linked Elearning course in Wisenet but please note:

  • Both the Elearning Course and the linked Elearning Enrolments will be permanently deleted in Wisenet
  • Elearning Enrolments in the Elearning application will be Disabled and set to Inactive

NOTE: When an Elearning Course is deleted in the Elearning application, it will be set as inactive in Wisenet.
