Introducing Courses
A Course is the master template that defines the structure and content of a qualification or program. For accredited qualifications, it includes all relevant Units. For non-accredited or organisation-specific short courses, it provides a consistent framework from which Course Offers can be created.
Choose the right Course
Before creating a Course, determine the type of Course you plan to deliver – such as a Short Course, Non-Accredited Course, or General English program.
Set Up
Import or add your Course
(Australia only) Upload your Accredited Courses through Scope Import. This will create the relevant Units as well.
For Non-Accredited Courses, add Courses manually.
Check Course Details
Check your Course and Unit details after uploading.
Check and Edit Course and Unit Details
Course Field Details:
Add Units to Course
If you have imported your Course via Scope Import, the relevant Units will be linked to your Course already via CourseUnits.
Otherwise, add Units to your Course in LRM by creating CourseUnits.
Edit CourseUnit Details
Each CourseUnit has some unique data – the Unit fields that are specific to the Unit for that Course.
Edit the CourseUnit details if you wish.
Link Staff to Courses
Assign Staff members to a Course for delivery and assessment. This supports audit requirements and helps track which Units and Courses each staff member is authorised to deliver.
Create Course Offers
A Course Offer is the organisation’s unique delivery for a Course.
Course Management
Manage your Courses by creating Checklists and Tasks. This helps track any updates to the qualification or delivery requirements.
You can also use Course Logbooks to save File Notes, Tasks, and Emails.
