There are many different types of Courses which can be delivered. It is important to understand what type of Course you will be delivering in order to correctly set up your Course and Course Offers prior to accepting enrolments.
Full Qualifications/Courses
These are Courses with multiple units such as Diploma of Business, Certificate III in Hospitality, Bachelor of Accounting etc
- You can have rolling intakes throughout the year or fixed enrolment
- This includes Skills Sets
Short Course
These are Courses that only consist of one or two Units such as First Aid, MS Word Basics.
They can occur as a once off or multiple times a year.
General English
There are different types of English Courses can can be delivered under the ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students) Standards.
Commonwealth Loans
VET Student Loans
If your RTO has been approved for VSL than your Course will need to have a few additional steps.
This will allow Units to be grouped into Units of Study and enable key details such as Census Date, Unit of Study fees etc.

Funded Courses
For Courses with funding; either State or Federal you will still need to follow the steps to set up a Course and Course Offers.
Depending on your source of funding there will be additional Set Up and Reporting requirements.
Non-Accredited
These are Courses that are generally not related to an official qualification for example a Professional Development Course, Onboarding new employees etc
- Depending on how many ‘Units’ in your Course will depend on how you create it within Wisenet.
