Why do I need to specify a Learner Role ID?
When you sync Learners from Wisenet to Brightspace, you must specify what kind of role the Learner has in Brightspace.
To do this you must add a Learner Role ID in Wisenet.
If you do not add a Learner Role ID in Wisenet, your Learners will not be created in Brightspace.

Find the Learner Role ID in Brightspace
- Navigate to Brightspace > Admin Tools > Roles and Permissions (under Security)
- Click on the role you would like to map the Learner to.
- You are now on the “Edit Permissions – [selected role]” page
- In the URL, find the part that says roleId=[xxx]
- Copy the number.

Paste the Learner Role ID in Wisenet
- Navigate to LRM > Settings > Wisenet Marketplace > Brightspace
- Click Edit
- In the Learner Role Id field, paste the Role ID number.
- Click Save.

Help – my Learners are still not being created in Brightspace
If you have entered a Learner Role ID in Wisenet and your Learners are still not being created in Brightspace, make sure that the account you have set up the OAuth connection with has the ability to enrol Learners.
- Navigate to Brightspace > Admin Tools > Roles and Permissions (under Security)
- Locate the Role that the Learners are mapped to.
- Click the dropdown > Edit Role Interactions
- Scroll down to the “Enroll [role name]” section
- Make sure the boxes are ticked as per the screenshot below.
