Before you begin

1. Connect to Brightspace
2. (Optional) Set up Elearning Enrolment Rules
3. Map Brightspace Courses to Wisenet
4. Enrol Learners into Brightspace course via Wisenet
5. Add an Auto Grade rule
6. Link the Auto Grade rule to Unit Offers

Decide whether to use Calculated Grade or Final Grade in Brightspace

1. Navigate to Brightspace > [relevant course] > Course Admin > Grades > Settings > Calculation Options
2. Under Final Grade Released, choose whether to release the Calculated Final Grade or the Adjusted Final Grade.
3. Click Save.

Decide whether to grade Released Grades or All Grades

1. Navigate to Wisenet > Settings > Connected Apps (under Integration) > Brightspace
2. “Only auto grade if final grade is released” – toggle on or off

Sync grades for each Elearning offer

1. Navigate to LRM > Offers > Elearning Offers
2. Locate the Elearning course you wish to sync
3. Click the Sync Grades icon

How the sync works:

1. Get the Final Grades for the Brightspace Course
   • Mapped by Wisenet Elearning Offer –> Elearning Course.ExternalIdentifier
2. Check that the Grade has a value and a Released Date.
3. Determine Grade Value
   • If it is a computable grade in Brightspace:
     • Grade = Grade Value / Grade Total * 100 (percentage value)
   • If it is not a computable grade in Brightspace:
     • Grade = Grade Value (Text or Letter)
4. Match the Elearning Enrolments for the Elearning Course Offer
   • BrightspaceGrade.User.OrgDefinedId = Wisenet Learner Number (Wisenet sets the OrgDefinedId when creating users during enrolment)
5. Raise an Autograde for the matching Elearning Enrolment.
