How To Grade with Auto Grade

This feature allows you to manually enter a Final grade for Unit Enrolments and automatically update related grade fields as specified by the associated Auto Grade Rule.

Before you begin:

This feature is available only for Wisenet Premium Edition

Important: These steps are mandatory.

Step 1: Set Up Auto Grade Rules in Wisenet

Define Auto Grade Rules to automatically update Unit Enrolment fields when a final grade is updated in Wisenet.

Step 2: Link Auto Grade Rules to Unit Offers

The Grade with Auto Grade feature will not function unless an Auto Grade Rule is linked at the Unit Offer level.

Each Unit Offer can also be configured with a different Auto Grade Rule, allowing flexibility across units within the same Course Offer.

You can set an Auto Grade Rule as a default at the Course Offer or Unit Offer level.

The Unit enrolment Final column is locked (cannot be edited) if:

  1. The linked Unit Offer does not have an Auto Grade Rule assigned (See Step 2 in Pre-Steps)
  2. The Unit Enrolment has a Status = Completed, Withdrawn or Did Not Complete

The final grade is also restricted based on the Auto Grade Rule. 

  1. If the Auto Grade Rule is created with Rule Type = Range then the allowed value will be decimal between 0-100 inclusive. 
  2. If the Auto Grade Rule is created with Rule Type = Value then you can supply only the available values.

Follow the below steps if you are updating the unit enrolments for an individual learner

Select Unit Enrolments

  1. Navigate to LRM > Selected Learner > Learner Profile
  2. For the relevant Course Enrolment, click Action > View Unit Enrolments
  3. Select the Unit Enrolments that you want to update (click the first check box to select all Unit Enrolments)

Grade with Auto Grade

This allows you to update Unit Enrolment details when a final grade is updated against unit enrolments.

  1. Under the list of Unit Enrolments in the Action Dropdown – select Set Final Grade for Auto Grade
  2. Individually update the Unit Enrolment Final column for all the selected Unit Enrolments
  3. Click Confirm

Follow the below steps if you are updating one or many unit enrolments for multiple learners.

From Course Offer

  1. Navigate to LRM > Selected Course Offer > Unit Enrolments
  2. (Optional) search and filter your data
  3. Select one or more records
  4. Click Action >  select Set Final Grade for Auto Grade
  5. Individually update the Unit Enrolment Final column for all the selected Unit Enrolments
  6. Click Confirm

From Learners > Unit Enrolments Search

  1. Navigate to LRM > Learners > Unit Enrolments
  2. (Optional) search and filter your data
  3. Select one or more records (Note: You may use select All on Page, but All Records cannot be used for this update.)
  4. Click Action >  select Set Final Grade for Auto Grade
  5. Individually update the Unit Enrolment Final column for all the selected Unit Enrolments
  6. Click Confirm
