How to Add a Learner Position to a Training Agreement

Learner Positions are used for Work-Based Reporting in New Zealand. They may also be adapted for internal use by organisations in any country.

Add a new Learner Position – New Zealand

  1. Navigate to LRM > Learners > Selected Training Agreement > Detail
  2. Click Action > Add Learner Position
  3. Set the Link to existing Learner Position toggle to NO
  4. Click Add
  5. Select a Workplace
  6. Select a Position
  7. If, on the Training Agreement, the For Reporting toggle is set to ON, you will see these fields:
    1. Employer Subdivision Name
    2. Territorial Authority
    3. Occupation Code
    4. Employment Type
  8. (Optional) Enter a Start Date
  9. (Optional) Enter an End Date
  10. (Optional) Select a Workplace Type
  11. (Optional) Select a Workplace Contact
  12. Click Save

If you wish to see the fields:

  • Employer Subdivision Name
  • Territorial Authority
  • Occupation Code
  • Employment Type

Edit the Training Agreement and set the For Reporting toggle to YES.

Add a new Learner Position – other countries

  1. Navigate to LRM > Learners > Selected Training Agreement > Detail
  2. Click Action > Add Learner Position
  3. Set the Link to existing Learner Position toggle to NO
  4. Click Add
  5. Select a Workplace
  6. Select a Position
  7. (Optional) Enter a Start Date
  8. (Optional) Enter an End Date
  9. (Optional) Select a Workplace Type
  10. (Optional) Select a Workplace Contact
  11. Click Save

Link to an existing Learner Position

  1. Navigate to LRM > Learners > Selected Training Agreement > Detail
  2. Click Action > Add Learner Position
  3. Set the Link to existing Learner Position toggle to YES
  4. Select a Learner Position
  5. Click Add

Edit a Learner Position

  1. Navigate to LRM > Learners > Selected Training Agreement > Detail
  2. Click the Learner Position title
    • The Edit Learner Position drawer opens
  3. Update one or more of the fields:
    • Workplace
    • Position
    • Employer Subdivision Name (NZ only – see note)
    • Territorial Authority (NZ only – see note)
    • Occupation Code (NZ only – see note)
    • Enrolment Type (NZ only – see note)
    • Start Date
    • End Date
    • Workplace Type
    • Workplace Contact
  4. Click Save.

New Zealand organisations only

If you wish to see the fields:

  • Employer Subdivision Name
  • Territorial Authority
  • Occupation Code
  • Employment Type

Edit the Training Agreement and set the For Reporting toggle to YES.
