As part of Unit Offer Unification, we have introduced significant improvements for Higher Education and VSL providers, bringing Units of Study into the core Wisenet framework and creating a more connected experience across enrolments, delivery, Elearning and TCSI management.
Key Enhancements
Manage Units of Study as Units
Units of Study are now managed as Units in the Scope section. A new Unit of Study flag identifies Units of Study and enables the associated TCSI fields across related Unit Offers and Unit Enrolments.

Flexible Unit of Study Structures
VSL providers can now use Unit Offer hierarchy to create parent-child relationships between Units of Study and Units of Competency.
A Unit can also be configured as both a Unit of Study and a Unit of Competency, providing greater flexibility in how delivery structures are modelled and managed.
For Higher Education providers, where Units of Competency are not required, Units of Study can be managed as standalone Units without the need for a parent-child hierarchy.
This provides a clearer representation of delivery while maintaining enrolment and reporting relationships.

Simplified Unit of Study Management
With Units of Study now managed as Units and part of the same Unit Offer model, Units of Study can now be shared across multiple Course Offers, reducing duplication and making it easier to manage common delivery structures across different intakes and cohorts.
Individual Units of Study and their related Units of Competency can also be viewed, copied and managed more easily through the redesigned Unit Offer experience, helping streamline setup and ongoing administration.
We have also redesigned the Course Offer and Unit offer copy process, making it easier to copy offers and their associated hierarchy, elearning configuration, checklists and related setup in a single workflow.

Simplified Unit Enrolment Management
Learners can now be enrolled into parent Units of Study, child Units of Competency, or both, depending on your delivery requirements.
The redesigned Manage Unit Enrolments experience also provides greater visibility into existing enrolments, helping reduce duplication and streamline administration.

Unit of Study Enrolments Available Throughout Wisenet
Unit of Study enrolments are now managed as Unit Enrolments and can be viewed directly from Course Offers, Unit Offers and Unit Enrolments list.
This allows teams to manage enrolments, perform bulk updates and review learner activity using the same workflows available throughout the platform.
New TCSI Views and Faster Updates
Switch between standard Unit Enrolment views and TCSI-focused views depending on the task you are performing.
Quick Edit now includes commonly managed TCSI fields, making it faster to update learner records without leaving the enrolment list.
Dedicated TCSI Fee Management
We have introduced a dedicated Edit TCSI experience for managing fee-related information, creating a more focused workflow while keeping other Unit Enrolment updates within standard edit processes.

Elearning Integration for Units of Study
With Units of Study now managed as Units and part of the same Unit Offer model, take advantage of the same elearning capabilities available across the broader Wisenet platform.
Elearning courses can now be linked directly to Unit of Study Unit Offers, allowing a Unit of Study to be represented as a dedicated LMS course. This supports clustered delivery models by providing a single learning experience aligned to the Unit of Study, rather than requiring separate Elearning courses for related Units of Competency.
Unit of Study Completion Status and Outcome Date (Unit Enrolment End Date) can be automatically updated through Auto Grade rules based on learner grade activity and outcomes for the relevant elearning course.
TCSI Reporting and CANs / Invoices
These updates were designed to ensure there is no intended impact to TCSI reporting, CANs or invoices. While the underlying structure has changed, reporting outcomes and financial workflows remain unchanged.
Next Steps
As part of this release, existing Unit of Study data has been migrated into the new Unit and Unit Offer framework.
This migration has created new Units, Unit Offers, enrolment relationships and hierarchy structures to support the new model while preserving existing data and TCSI reporting requirements.
Depending on your existing setup, you may notice duplicate or related Units of Study records at the Scope level following migration. This is expected and forms part of the transition process.
To support customers in moving towards a cleaner long-term structure, Wisenet will be providing a one-time Unit merge process, allowing you to review duplicate or related Units, determine which records should be retained, and map associated Unit Offers to the appropriate Unit.
We encourage you to review the migration information previously provided, validate your migrated data, and begin identifying any Units that may require consolidation as part of the upcoming merge process. Learn more
Our team will continue working closely throughout this transition and can provide guidance on validation activities, reporting considerations, recommended structures and the merge process.
