We have improved how Wisenet captures and reports the “Total Fee for Domestic Student” for Fees Free and SDR reporting.
These changes are designed to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and create a more sustainable long-term reporting process.
Why This Change Is Being Made
The current process requires you to manually calculate and enter fees in the Learner Profile. This approach:
- Creates unnecessary administrative effort
- Increases the risk of calculation errors
- Is not connected to your financial data
- Requires annual system changes to maintain
The new approach automates this process and aligns it directly with your finance and learner data.
What’s Changing
The existing Fees Free fields in the Learner Profile are made obsolete and no longer used for SDR reporting.
If you currently update these fields through an integration or API, this will continue to work. However, these values will no longer be included in SDR reporting.
Your Data Has Been Preserved
To ensure continuity and avoid data loss, your existing values from the old Total Fee fields have been automatically copied into the new Learner Fees page.
You will be able to view and manage this data in the new structure without needing to re-enter it.
What You Need To Do
New Learner Fees Page
Use the new Learner Fees page. Learners > Selected Learner Profile > Learner Fees
This allows you to:
- Manually enter GST-inclusive fees
- Pick the Fee Category
- Choose which fees should be reported in exports

How the Reported Total Is Calculated
Wisenet will calculate the final Total Fee for Domestic Student by combining:
- Automatically calculated invoice totals (if using Finance), and
- Manually reported fees entered in Learner Fees
This combined value will be used in SDR exports.
