How To Edit Learner App Settings

Learner App Settings

Navigate to LRM > Settings > Learner App [NEW] (under App Settings).

Settings: General

  1. The Site URL is automatically created. Contact us if you would like your own custom domain (available as an add-on)
  2. Site Status: There are two options: Live and Not Published. Put your site into Not Published until you have configured your settings, then change it to Live.
  3. Site Name: This appears in the Learner App browser tab heading.
  4. Privacy Policy Link: This appears in the Learner App login page. Add a link to your organisation’s privacy policy.
  5. Terms of Use Link: This appears in the Learner App login page. Add a link to your organisation’s terms of use.
  6. Can’t Log In message: This is the text that appears when a Learner clicks “Can’t log in?” on the Learner App Login page. We recommend you enter “Contact us on [phone number] or [email]”

Settings: Branding

  1. Primary Colour: Choose a primary colour for the Learner App.
  2. Secondary Colour: Choose a secondary colour.
  3. Menu Logo: Upload a logo to show at the top left of every Learner App page.
  4. Favicon: Upload an icon to appear in the Learner App browser tab heading.

Settings: Welcome Message

The Welcome Message appears on the Learner App Dashboard screen.

  1. Banner: Upload an image to be the background of the Welcome Message.
    • If you don’t upload an image, the background will be the Primary Colour selected in Part 2.
  2. Title: Enter a Welcome Message title.
  3. Body: Enter the body text for the Welcome Message.
  4. Text Colour: Specify the colour of the Title and Body text.
  5. Show Action Button toggle: Toggle ON if you want to display an action button.
  6. Action Button Text: The text that appears on the action button.
  7. Action Button Link: Specify where you would like the action button to go.
  8. Action Button Colour: The colour of the button.
  9. Action Button Text Colour: The colour of the text inside the action button.

Settings: Sections

Choose which information your Learners can access in the Learner App.

  1. Show Timetables: Toggle ON for your Learners to see their timetables and attendance records.
  2. Show Finances: Toggle ON for your Learners to see their invoices, credit notes, and payments.
  3. Show Policies and Procedures: Toggle ON for your Learners to see and download copies of your Policies and Procedures documents (uploaded in Part 8: Policies and Procedures)

Settings: Learner Actions

Choose which information your Learners can update themselves.

NOTE: When a Learner updates their details, it triggers an Event Alert in Wisenet.

  1. Can Edit Personal Details: Toggle ON for your Learners to edit their personal details.
    • NOTE: Learners cannot edit their name, gender, date of birth, or Wisenet student number.
  2. Can Edit Demographics: Toggle ON for your Learners to edit their demographic details.
  3. Can Edit Next of Kin Details: Toggle ON for your Learners to edit their Next of Kin details.

Settings: Course Settings

Configure the settings in the My Courses page in Learner App.

  1. Show Course Progress As (percentage or count) – Choose whether the Course Progress calculator shows a percentage or a count.
  2. Show Elements as Assessments – Toggle ON for your Learners to see their Assessments in the Learner App (called Elements in LRM)

Settings: Elearning Settings

If you have an Elearning integration set up, you can choose to show a My Elearning button for your Learners to navigate to their Elearning platform.

  1. Show Elearning Button: Toggle ON for a button called “My Elearning” to show in the Learner App header.
  2. Elearning Link: enter the URL for this button.

Settings: Policies and Procedures

Update any Policy and Procedure documents you wish your Learners to access.

NOTE: Choose whether to make these available to your Learners in Part 4: Sections > Show Policies and Procedures toggle.
