How To Manage Timetable Clashes

A clash is a scheduling conflict. The wizard will indicate two kinds of clashes:

  • Pre-existing clashes (clashes created before running this wizard)
  • New clashes created as a result of this wizard
Pre-existing Learner Schedule Clashes

How you will know

On the Confirm Learner page, there will be two indicators:

  1. A grey arrow in the first column
  2. The word ‘Yes’ in the ‘Has clash?’ column

To clash view the details, click the grey arrow

How to fix it You have three options:

  1. Not include this Learner in the enrolment
  2. Click the word Yes in the ‘Has clash?’ column
    (this will take you to the client’s enrolment page to make adjustments)
  3. Ignore the clash, and fix it later

Note:If there are any clashes, you will need to manually confirm each Learner.

Pre-existing Class Venue or Trainer Clashes

How you will know

On the Select Classes page, there will be two indicators:

  1. A grey arrow in the first column
  2. The word ‘Yes’ in the ‘Has clash?’ column

To clash view the details, click the grey arrow.

How to fix it

You have three options:

  1. Not include this class in the enrolment
  2. Click the word Yes in the ‘Has clash?’ column
    (this will take you to the Class Details page to make adjustments)
  3. Ignore the clash, and fix it later
New Clashes

If you create new clashes with the wizard, a warning will appear with all the clashes listed.

How you will know

Viewing clash details

On the Warning page, all the clashes will be listed. Click on the grey arrow in the first column to view the details.

How to fix it You have three options:

  1. Click Back at the bottom of the page to go back and fix
  2. Not select the clash (don’t click on the relevant checkbox)
    your Learner will not be registered into the class
  3. Select the clash (click on the relevant checkbox), and fix it later
